GUIDE FOR ELA SUBMISSIONS
Scope
The Electronic Journal of Linear Algebra (ELA) is published by the International Linear Algebra Society. ELA is an open-access, refereed electronic journal that welcomes mathematical articles of high standards that contribute new information and new insights to matrix analysis and the various aspects of linear algebra and its applications.
No fees are charged to authors or readers.
Preparation
Authors are responsible for submitting articles that are mathematically correct and written in acceptable and fluent English. Submissions must be formatted using the SIAM LaTeX Macro Package. See preparing a paper for submission to ELA for more detailed instructions.
Submission of articles
Authors wishing to submit an article to ELA should do the following three things:
-
1.Prepare an article according to the ELA guidelines for preparing a paper.
-
2.Obtain and complete the Author Declaration and Publication Agreement form.
3. Submit the article by sending an email message to elamath@uwyo.edu. The message must contain the email addresses of all authors, the Publication Agreement form and LaTeX and PDF files of the article must be attached; indicate which author is the corresponding author.
By submitting a manuscript, the author affirms that
-
•the work described has not been published previously (except as an abstract or as part of a dissertation),
-
•the manuscript is not under consideration for publication in another journal, and
-
•all authors approve of the publication of the manuscript.
Once a manuscript is received, an acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to all authors, and the paper will be assigned to an editor for handling. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 72 hours, then please send an inquiry to elamath@uwyo.edu.
Acceptance of Articles
Upon acceptance of an article, the Editor-in-Chief will inform the corresponding author, and one of the managing editors will contact the corresponding author with instructions on processing the article for publication. Posting of articles is immediate following processing.
