Submission and Selection of Articles
Manuscripts for publication should be sent to:
Bozena Stanek, stanek@math.harvard.edu
Department of Mathematics
Harvard University
Cambridge, Massachusetts 02138
U.S.A.
Please note in a separate cover letter if the paper is available as an
electronic manuscript, and if so, in which format. Please provide
your e-mail address if it's available.
The Editors of the Journal of Differential Geometry
encourage contributors to submit electronically prepared manuscripts in
AMS-LaTeX or LaTeX2e, with the following specifications:
11 point type size
text width 4.7 inches
text height 7.5 inches
the document class is book
q.e.d. is the end of proof convention
Properly prepared manuscripts save authors and editors proofreading
time, which expedites production.
Manuscripts should be written in English, French, German, or Italian.
If typewritten, they should be double spaced, with generous margins. Any paper
written in a language other than English should include an abstract written
in English.
Diagrams should be drawn with black India ink on glossy white paper.
To eliminate unnecessary delay or difficulties in printing,
authors should consult the article
Manual for Authors of Mathematical Papers,
Bull. Amer. Math. Soc. 68 (1962) 429-444.
Footnotes, except a possible acknowledgement of assistance
or financial support on the first page, should
be avoided by being incorporated into the text, perhaps parenthetically.
The list of references must be in alphabetical-chronological order;
abbreviations of names of journals and references to books should follow
the standard format established by Mathematical Reviews.
Authors receive only one set of proofs for corrections
and will be responsible for the expense of making excessive
alterations of the original manuscripts during the proofreading.
One hundred offprints are supplied free for each article.
In the case of multiple authors, the 100 free offprints will be divided
equally among the authors.
Additional offprints may be purchased at a reasonable cost.
Electronic manuscripts may be
requested (if available) after a paper has been submitted.
Direct all questions regarding the electronic format
of the accepted papers to Hugh Rutledge,
hugh@intlpress.com.
