Our weekly research seminar is starting again on Wednesday 25th September, see the Seminar Tab.
We have two reading groups running this semester:
- Entropy zero dynamics (Corinna's group) - see the Events Tab
- A working seminar aiming to introduce group members (and anyone else interested) to the main topics in dynamics. For more information see the Working Seminar tab.
New members:
We are delighted to welcome Noam Szyfer, who will be undertaking his graduate studies with Corinna Ulcigrai.
We are also welcoming Adam Kanigowski and Katy Loyd who are visiting from the University of Maryland, see the visitors tab. Meg Doucette, also from the University of Maryland, will be visting us in November/December.
Adam will be teaching a special course at ETH in Spring 2025, as part of the Nachdiplom series.

Research Topics
Research interests of members of the group include
- Homogeneous Dynamics, also in connection to
- Number Theory (Diophantine and equidistribution problems);
- Spectral Theory;
- Group Theory;
- Ergodic Theory of entropy zero systems, such as
- Area preserving flows (translation flows and locally Hamiltonians flows);
- Interval exchange maps and rational polygonal billiards;
- Time changes of parabolic flows;
- Infinite Ergodic Theory;
- Limit Theorems;
- Teichmüller Dynamics.
